Children remain close to the hearts of the employees of Aspen’s team at Beta Healthcare in Nairobi. Beta again supported the Havilla and Mother Teresa Children's Homes and extended their care to the Imani Children's Home this Mandela Day.
More than 230 employees collected donations of clothing, shoes, toys, baby diapers, toiletries, household cleaning materials and foodstuffs, which were delivered to the three homes. These gifts of love will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the 250 children at these homes located in Nairobi.
Each of the Homes selected for this initiative provide a place of safety, love and care to boys and girls who have been abandoned, orphaned or neglected and who range in age from birth to 18 years.
Further afield in Uganda, the Beta team chose to support the Sanyu Babies Home the “Home of Joy” located on the outskirts of Kampala. This facility, which cares for 80 babies from birth to four years who have been rescued from the likes of pit latrines, garbage heaps, ditches or taxi ranks, received a range of much needed donations including clothes, food and toys from Aspen’s local employees.
