Aspen's team in Colombia hosted internal campaigns prior to Mandela Day, calling for support of its employees for the Fundación Vida Noble, a worthy organisation that focuses on providing a nutritional meal to approximately 120 disadvantaged children - many of whom are not given a daily fully balanced meal at home.

The full team of more than 110 employees participated in this initiative. The Marketing division took charge of the party amenities, decoration and logistics, while Commercial, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Human Resources and Finance areas were involved with donations of food and grooming supplies.

Due to space constraints at Fundación Vida Noble only 40 Aspen volunteers were able to attend the day's events which started with some of Aspen Colombia's nutritional HCP business partners examining the children medically. Fun recreational activities took place at the same time for the boys and girls who thoroughly enjoyed the music contest, dancing and show which was hosted by the Aspen team.

More arduous duty called too, with employees also attending to some of the home's infrastructural needs such as painting the walls and roof and conducting general repairs.

The children enjoyed a nutritious meal at lunch time which was followed by more activities including sharing gifts and celebrating life with cake, ice cream and loads of fun. Just as children should!
