Waisenhaus München Laim is an orphanage that cares for 9 children aged between 6 and 13 years.

Aspen's Munich-based office adopted the orphanage for their project. Mandela Day was a perfect opportunity for the strong, bonding team spirit to be enhanced among 16 members of this newly formed business unit, who worked hand in hand to improve the garden for the children. One of their activities including removing a sandbox and replacing this with a vegetable garden which the children can tend themselves and simultaneously learn through the experience.

The Aspen team also contributed financially toward alleviating the pressures of the orphanage's daily running costs, which was highly appreciated.
