enhancing Krasnoyarsk’s Orphanage for the children
Salmina Anita, Petrova Alena and Pienko Inna eagerly volunteered to serve as Aspen Russia’s Siberian Mandela Day ambassadors at the Krasnoyarsk Regional Specialized Orphanage No. 3.
The institution, which was opened in 1986, employs some 20 specialists and provides assistance to 30 orphans from one to four years of age.
The main purpose of the Orphanage is to create conducive conditions to protect the physical and mental health of the children, take care of their emotional well-being, and develop each child’s abilities. To achieve these goals, the specialists at this institution assess and solve diagnostic, educational, and correctional-developmental challenges experienced by the little ones.
Aspen’s volunteers landscaped, reorganised and tidied the playground area for the pleasure of these young children.
